Togetherness Meditation - Day 12

Our day started with KamikaZen shouting-out for all to join in some meditative practice. Please be on the look-out for his Tweets - he will usually send the call out to STOP. DROP. MEDITATE! at least once a day!

Later in the day, we will all come together for scheduled meditative practice at 3pm PDT/6pm EDT. Please check-in pre-meditation, meditate for 15 minutes, and then check back in post-meditation on Twitter and/or our Blog.

Plus, exciting news! Karmadorje & Barbara_FuShin will be leading #OMC shout-outs that are a better fit for the schedules of our International CREW! Follow along as the #OMC criss-crosses timezones!

Enjoy the day! _/\_ Namaste!

  1. Meditated with feet up and ice pack on. Stomach growled and dog sighed. Metta flowed even when the mind was in hyper-drive. Experiencing nagging bodily pain while meditating brings the 4 Noble Truths to mind:

    Life is suffering.
Suffering is rooted in attachment and craving.
The cessation of suffering is possible.
There is a Path that leads away from suffering.

That path is 8-fold: right view, right intention, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness and right concentration.

Lots of thoughts for 15 minutes...Thank you to the CREW for being together with me as I bob along in their flow! _/\_

  3. Spent most of my meditation time sending out healing/recovery metta to the crew, in particular Zen Outlaw and those cracked ribs. I know others are on exercise regimens that take a lot out of them so sent some recovery metta their way too. May you all feel better ASAP! \m/ _/|\_

  4. Bench has helped my practice a lot. Not so distracted by discomfort. However I had the pleasure of having little dogs shove their head in my hand and try to climb me the entire time. Wanted to be mad at them but couldn't stop smiling.

  5. It was a particularly interesting sit today. No back pain and the legs didn't go to sleep, even had a hard time focusing my eyes when the end bell rang.
    thank you all.
