  2. It has been a great ride, and one I'm most happy to have taken.

Thank you skipper, for starting this wonderful CREW. And thank you all for hopping aboard.

May we keep sharing our practice and growing together for many years to come!

Much heavy metta, tons of hugs and best wishes!

  3. Empty post? Or has my iPad realized enlightenment and is freed from all fear? May the OMCrew and all beings be free from all fear and be at ease in sober joy. Happy 100th! Shouldn't we also celebrate 108, too? Very Buddhist number.

  4. Engage! that is what we have been able to accomplish via our skipper and the founding crew members. We have gone where no one has gone before!

And I look forward to our further trips together :)

    Joyous #100 and many more.

  5. I know that I'm not alone in saying that the crew has had a tremendous impact on my practice...on my life. Others ask me to explain it. I lack the skill to adequately do so. Thank you @ZenOutlaw for the beautiful video! What more can I say? May you all be well, happy, and at peace! Looking forward to the next hundred!

  6. Happy 100!

Thank you Zen Outlaw and thank you crew! This has been a renaissance for my sitting practice! Sometimes while meditating with the crew I'm struck by the fact that someone else is actually sitting with me somewhere else - what a warm feeling that is! ...And then I let go of that feeling and go back to breathing ;-)

Looking forward to join you all tomorrow - miles away.

  8. AAAaaaawww Outlaw my eyes are leakin'...

The metta bhavana prayer was given to me by my therapist when I first started my path of recovery (from "the -ism" and from trauma). She asked me to say it for myself daily but I couldn't get through it because I cried so hard. So my beloved would say it to me, nightly, in the early days (note to @ReformedBuddha: when he lived in the US still and I in Canada).

Since then, I have said it many times for others, but still never yet for myself. Receiving this from you is the first time (I'm aware) that anyone else has ever offered me the metta prayer... Even though it's to the whole Cru, not just me personally, it still made me cry - in a good way.

I'm so grateful for the #OMCru and your captainship. It has added immeasurably to my life, to meeting needs I have for fun, play, silliness, joy, inspiration and connection, and to my practice, which literally would not be what it is today if it weren't for you and the Cru.

Metta back atcha: May you too, and all of us, be filled with all good things, may you be free from suffering and the causes of suffering, may you be well and happy, and may you know peace.

  9. I watched this & filled with feelings of love & joy. Who knew that people from all walks of life from all over the world could get together in friendship & harmony & practice together twice a day for 100 days. Quite a feat!

I love being part of the OMC, I love getting to know you all via your tweets, photos & now videos. I wish you all fast progression along the Path with happiness & obstacles so small that they can be dissolved by a loving thought.

    Signed,
    one happy OMC member,

  10. This was wonderful! As is the OMCru concept. And members themselves. :-D The support my practice receives from you is so wonderful and you are kind and funny people with whom I really enjoy communicating. I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible as we all follow our paths. To another 100 days and beyond :-) with Gassho _/|\_

  11. I've been on Twitter for over a year, part of that time on a previous account. I had really started to become disenchanted, it seemed like a waste of time, and I wasn't hearing much back from long-time followers.

All that changed once I found the crew! I hung out for awhile at first to get the hang of it, not sure if I wanted to become that involved. Well, I'm really glad I did, as it has brought my practice "back to life" so to speak, while also making Twitter about 200% more fun at the same time.

Even though my dad is going through a tough time, when I get on Twitter, usually I'm looking to get away from that stress, at least temporarily, to blow off steam. So you may see me doing or saying things that seem unexpected, but having a sense of humor and keeping my spirits up is the best thing I can do in this situation, especially when it's harder for him to do.

Anyway, just wanted to say thanks to everyone for being out there doing your thing, and I agree that it's hard to explain... I never thought this would work as well as it does, but it does, so I'm just going to thank the buddhas and bodhisattvas for that! :) _/|\_

  12. Thank you ZenOutlaw and all the OMCru members! While I don't often make it for the scheduled sits or the shoutouts these days, I have the twitter stream on a lot, and you all make me smile inside and out. It's so good to know the OMC is here, there, and everywhere for everyone. Much metta to all! :)
