Togetherness Meditation - Day 107

Howdy OMC!

Happy Diwali! May there be great light in all of your lives...always!

Today, the Online Meditation Crew shared in practice in the Morn, will get together at Midday (11:30am PDT/ 2:30pm EDT), and again in the Evening hours (6-8pm PDT/9-11pm EDT). Also, impromptu calls to share in meditative togetherness - shout-outs to Stop. Drop. MEDITATE! - have been flowin' and can come from anyone, anywhere in the world, at any time! Everyone is always welcome - so please join in!

The community-fostering question for today is:

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live and why?

Enjoy the day, Crew! Namaste and mucho heavy metta! \m/ _/|\_ ;-)

  1. Probably in The Shire. Working in the pub. Are fictional places allowed?

  2. Thailand. I love it. There's a corner in Bangkok that a previous me probably lived or died at before, because when I stand there, it's like I remember.

  3. Anywhere that has warm weather all year round.

  4. If I could choose both place and time, I'd probably say 1950's rural Japan.

As it is, I'm quite happy where I live right now, I'd only like to have a real forest nearby… but for now, my lovely park will do. ;-)

  5. Big Sur, California, because it's so breathtakingly beautiful there :)

  6. New Zealand. I could finally watch the All Blacks play in person along with all my NZ homies. Plus it is absolutely beautiful there.

  7. I would love to live in the South of France (Provence) but only if I can bring my entire extended family/friend community with me :). Love where I am but would love a real cafe au lait and croissant in the AM on a little table in a stone patio overlooking fields of lavender and sunflowers with mountains in one direction and the Mediterranean Sea in the other. Currently living there in my imagination :)

  8. I live in a Giant Redwood forest on the northern coast of CA. I fell very lucky. It is a dream come true.

  9. @buddhaBadges, that's cool about the corner. :)
as for me, I'm really liking Portland right now. A lot of people complain about the rain, but I love it. There are lots of friendly people here too.
But, I'd also love to go back to Japan. There are many little paradises there, both in the city and the country...

  10. When I was a child of 10 (1955), my parents took me on travels through Germany. I fell in love with the Garmisch-Partenkirchen area. We stayed a week one summer at a hotel on a Lake at the base of the Zugspitze Mtn. I think it was Lake Eibsee but I am not positive. Anyway, the lake resort featured paddle boats which I fell in love with; tormenting my poor Dad for endless rides (he did bulk of the paddling). In the village Dad found a poor artist who had done an oil of the very spot we were staying! The artist was young but had TB & as the story goes practically gave us the painting. My Dad (and me) spoke fluent German you see and the artist was smitten with our American family on holiday. At my parents death, the painting was passed on to me and graces my bedroom wall as I write. (will post on twitpic). THIS is my fantasy place - to be able to return there, with my parents, right now -ahh, yes, to go I would!

Alas, life is not fantasy afterall - so returning to my reality - I love my little casita blanca in the woods. Life is sweet.
